CALUMO Hide Zero Values with CReportGroup and CReportCheckBox Video
The following video shows a simple report containing numerous rows containing only zeros. The video then walks through how to optionally hide these.
The above video shows how an Excel formula determines which rows are ‘zero’, and the CALUMO CREPORTGROUP formula is introduced to hide these. The CREPORTCHECKBOX formula is used to give users the ability to hide or show ‘zero’ rows using a simple checkbox. A very useful and powerful combination.
For many reports, there may be one or more ‘zero’ rows depending on what company, cost centre, or period you are looking at. That is, every value in that row is zero and not necessarily useful. When presenting or reviewing this, hiding or removing those zero rows can be helpful. Fortunately, this is easy to do with CALUMO, and it is also possible to give the option to show or hide these.
The concepts introduced in the above video can also be used in various situations, with blocks of data being hidden or shown based on whatever relevant criteria you want to use. This can help users focus on key information, print what is relevant, or hide sensitive data.
You can learn more about the CREPORTGROUP and other related functions in the CALUMO help documentation. CREPORTGROUP
